Summary

Getting to Donostia/San Sebastián by car is very easy. The city is connected to France and the rest of Spain by the A-I national motorway (Madrid-Irún), the AP-8 (Bilbao-Irún) and A-63 (Paris-Irún) motorways and the AP-15 (Pamplona-San Sebastián) motorway. Don’t forget your driving licence. In Spain it is compulsory to carry your driving licence with you when driving.

The Boulevard car park is located under Alameda del Boulevard. It gives access to the Old Town, the Port and the Centre. La Concha beach is a few minutes’ walk away on one side and the Gros district on the other.

The Estación-Geltokia car park is located underneath San Sebastián bus station and next to the Renfe-Adif train station. It is in the city centre.

San Martin car park is under the market of the same name in the city centre. Very convenient for La Concha beach and the centre of San Sebastián.

Txofre car park

This car park is located in the centre of the Gros district, close to Zurriola beach, the Conference Centre and the Kursaal Auditorium. It has 470 spaces spread across 3 underground floors. You can book on their website and they offer special subscriptions. It also offers a free loan service of bicycles and umbrellas, an air pump for tires and help starting your vehicle if the battery is flat.

Recinto Ferial Ficoba car park in Irún

A convenient and comfortable way to get to the city is to park your car in the free car park at the Ficoba Trade Fair Centre in Irún and take the Euskotren train to the centre of San Sebastián. (40 minutes drive).

San Sebastián – Donostia (Adif) and Renfe train station and Amara station (Euskotren) provide information on accessibility at Amara Station (Euskotren).
