Restaurant Muka

Summary

MUKA, which means “ashes from the fire” in the Basque language spoken in Iparralde (the French Basque Country), is a restaurant that invites guests to explore fire in all its forms: embers, flames, coals, smoke, ashes… It is located on the ground floor of the Kursaal Conference Center, at the beginning of the breakwater, next to the Zurriola Bridge.

MUKA was conceptualized by Andoni Luis Aduriz together with a multidisciplinary team made up of people from different establishments belonging to the IXO group. It offers an experience that allows you to experience fire through all your senses, from the gastronomic offerings to the space itself, which has a charcoal grill area where most of the dishes on the menu are prepared. The dishes, designed for sharing, can also be enjoyed on a spectacular terrace overlooking the mouth of the Urumea River.

Finally, the space also has an upper floor reserved exclusively for events with an intimate terrace overlooking the María Cristina Hotel and the Victoria Eugenia Theater.
